Winning the Battle

Back in 2019, when I was fighting my mind alone, I said, ‘Every day feels like a battle, and I don’t know when this will end.’ A month later, I asked for help and let one person at a time join my army. From that moment on, the battle got lighter every day.

You might feel like you’re in a battle right now and struggling to find hope. The end of your battle may come to light if you ask someone to join your fight. It is not weak, it makes you courageous. It does not make you a burden, they want to hear what’s been weighing you down and help ease the load.

If you’re fighting alongside someone whose mind is against them, your words matter. Your actions matter. Be there for them as often as you can. Listen to them without judgement, without inserting logic, they know it’s not logical but it is real. One of the most important actions you can take to support them is putting your well-being first. Set boundaries with them and prioritise your self-care. You matter as much as they do.

You can and will win this. It may take months or years, but you will be free again in this life.
